Constructs network trunk circuits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The statements on this job description are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by incumbents. Travel to customers' premises to install, maintain, or
repair
audio and visual electronic reception equipment or accessories.
Inspect or test lines or cables, recording and analyzing test results, to assess transmission characteristics and locate faults or malfunctions.
Splice cables, using hand tools, epoxy, or mechanical equipment.
Measure signal strength at utility poles, using electronic test equipment.
Set up service for customers, installing, connecting, testing, or adjusting equipment.
Place insulation over conductors or seal splices with moisture-proof covering.
Access specific areas to string lines or install terminal boxes, auxiliary equipment, or appliances, using bucket trucks, or by climbing poles or ladders, or entering tunnels, trenches, or crawl spaces.
String cables between structures and lines from poles, towers, or trenches and pull lines to proper tension.
Install equipment such as amplifiers or repeaters to maintain the strength of communications transmissions.
Lay underground cable directly in trenches or string it through conduits running through trenches.
Required Responsibilities of all IdeaTek Employees:
Expected to respond to unplanned network outages on a 24 hour a day basis.

Education/
Experience:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree and 2 years of experience.
Knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control, and operation of telecommunications systems.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal
services
. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and
computer
hardware and software, including applications and programming
Language Ability:
Demonstrated excellence in ability to listen to customer needs/ issues, and implement operational solutions in a timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to generate, analyze, and interpret project plans, technical drawings and manuals, business and financial reports, business correspondence and operational/ procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Information Technology:
Operational knowledge of fiber optic and other state of the art communications technologies required
Email and mobile phone communications knowledge
Computer operation and general computer typing skills
Demonstrated operational knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS PowerPoint); Knowledge of business and database software (Access) and project mgmt. software (MS Project) desired.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
